What we Stand for!

CPP was organized to promote the idea of PRIVATE PROPERTY in Romania, were for more than 50 years a very strong indoctrination campaign was underway with the purpose to discredit the idea of private ownership. In Romania, the property owners were, and still are treated injustly, and discriminatory laws are still used against them.

The confiscation of properties started immediately after the communists came to power in Romania. Unfortunately, even under the present government, the illegal confiscations are perpetuated through the implementation of Law 112, passed by the Iliescu regime. Major efforts are being made today to re-confiscate most of those properties by promoting the so-called "rights of the tenants."

Decree 223 of 1974, repealed by the Decree/Law 9/89 passed by the non-communist regime, is being used against us, the Romanians that were forced to leave Romania. Almost every Romanian family living abroad is affected by these discriminatory laws.

PRIVATE OWNERSHIP of real estate, lands, and factories is the only guaranty that Romania will progress. The first steps toward that goal should start with the immediate restitution of stolen properties.

The Committee for Private Property demands:

• The restitution of confiscated houses and apartments, without tenants, and without trials;
• All lands should be returned to the owners, with no exceptions;
• In the case of properties on which roads, railroads, schools, hospitals, or other constructions of public use were built, the owners should be compensated and should have a choice regarding the kind of compensation to receive:
• a reimbursement representing the actual value of the property, or
• another property of a comparable value;
• If on the confiscated property commercial or industrial establishments were built to function as a profit-making enterprises, the owners should be entitled to receive:
• rent for that facility, or
• become a co-owner of that establishment;
• If on the confiscated property private houses or apartment buildings with mixed use were built, the owner should be entitled to:
• receive rent for the land on which the buildings were built,
• receive a reimbursement representing the actual value of the property, or
• receive another property of a comparable value.

CPP s-a organizat pentru promovarea ideii de PROPRIETATE PRIVATA in Romania unde mai mult de 50 de ani s-a dus o campanie feroce de discreditarea ideii de proprietate. In Romania proprietarii au fost si inca mai sunt tratati nedrept si impotriva lor inca se mai practica legi discriminatorii.

Confiscarile proprietatilor au inceput imediat dupa ocuparea Tarii de catre regimurile comuniste si din nefericire, chiar sub actualul guvern, confiscarile se perpetuaza prin aplicarea legii 112 (promulgata de regimul Iliescu) si se fac eforturi de reconfiscare prin promovarea asa ziselor drepturi ale chiriasilor.

Decretul 223 din 1974, abrogat in prezent prin decretul lege 9/89, chiar de catre necomunisti a fost aplicat cu asiduitate impotriva noastra a celor care am fost fortati sa parasim Romania. Aproape ca nu este familie de Romani, in strainatate, care sa nu fie afectata de confiscarile indreptate specific impotriva lor.

PROPRIETATEA PRIVATA asupra locuintelor, pamanturilor si mijloacelor de productie este singura garantie ca Romania merge spre bine.

Inceputul trebuie facut prin retrocedarea imediata a proprietatilor furate.

Comitetul pentru Proprietatea Privata doreste:

• Revendicarea caselor si apartamentelor noastre in natura, fara chiriasi, fara procese;
• Toate paminturile trebuie returnate proprietarilor, fara exceptii;
• In cazul proprietatilor pe care s-au construit sosele, cai ferate, scoli, spitale sau alte construcïii de uz comun, proprietarul trebuie despagubit, la alegerea acestuia:
• in valoarea reala a proprietatii, sau
• cu o proprietate de valoare comparabila;
• In cazul proprietatilor pe care s-au construit cladiri comerciale, industriale sau alte intreprinderi cu scop de a produce un profit, proprietarul este indreptatit:
• a percepe chirie, sau
• a deveni proprietar partial sau total al cladirii;
• In cazul proprietatilor pe care s-au construit case particulare, blocuri de locuinïe sau o combinatie de spatii comerciale si locuinte, proprietarul pamintului este indreptatit, la alegerea sa:
• sa perceapa chirie pentru folosirea pamintului, sau
• sa primeasca o recompensa baneasca corespunzatoare, sau
• sa primeasca o proprietate de valoare comparabila.
